John Ewing : Biography
Long a Twin Cities musician, John Ewing is a veritable main-stay in many circles. So much so in fact that you could play ėSeven-degrees-of-seperation-of-John-Ewingî and match him to virtually every Minneapolis act from the last decade.
An accomplished tune-smith in both the melodic and lyrical sense, Ewing captures moments and moods on tape as well as any. After a hiatus from recording, two earlier releases ėDelta Flaresî and ėSeen ëYer Faceî date back to 1996 and 1997, John came back with Augustine (2006), an angelic acoustic based record full of harmony and a cast of ace session players.
