Mark Thomas Stockert : Biography

Somehow, venerable music web-store Miles of Music summed it up best when reviewing 2004’s Chatelaine Saloon by saying, “Stockert comes off something like the cowboy of the undead, a time-weary vampire who’s learned to take the booze and the blood in equal measures.”

Chatelaine Saloon marked the first solo release from the singer and songwriter of Minneapolis' Taconite Haven. The album blended moments of graceful melodies and madness that all seemed to meet in a late-night introspective haze. With a hushed vocal, Stockert reached down deep and spun eleven stories of lost love and wisdom earned.

While the album, recorded and produced by Stockert at his own Underwood Studios, was released on Eclectone Records in 2004, he has been busy producing tracks for Tom Feldmann, Martin Devaney, Big Ditch Road, Robert McCreedy, The House of Mercy Band, Ojas Rojas, and many, many others.
